This can possibly killing thousands of people and flooding two of the largest cities in the country.This could lead to 500,000 civilian deaths by drowning Mosul under 20 meters of water and blocks of Baghdad under 3 meters. This has been reported by Abdulkhalik Thanoon Ayoub, the dam manager.
