Half of India's Internet users disconnected by cable damage
As Reuters has reported today up to 65 percent of India's Internet users was disconnected on Wednesday because of a outage in an international undersea cable network. Many of India's outsourcing companies had been affected.
"There has been a 50 to 60 percent cut in bandwidth," Rajesh Chharia told Reuters. Also Reuters reported about 70 percent disruption of Internet in Egypt.

Miss America 2008 winner Kirsten Haglund
A few hours ago there was aired The Miss America 2008 pageant on TLC. Miss Michigan Kirsten Haglund, the 19 year old sweetie has proved to the America that she's the best. Haglund sang "Over the Rainbow" to win the title. She's from Farmington Hills, Mich. and currently studying in University of Cincinati. First runner up was Nicole Elizabeth Rash - Miss Indiana, Miss Washington Elyse Umemoto was the pageant’s second runner up. Third runner-up was Hannah Keifer, Miss Virginia and the fourth runner-up was Jessica Jacobs, Miss North Carolina. Other finalists included Miss Texas Molly Hazlett, Miss California Melissa Chaty and Christina Thompson, Miss Wisconsin.

I just find out that the US Patent and Trademark Office issued a new patent on this topic: A Mobile Entertainment And Communication Device." Do you realize what this means? This patent describes any modern communicator smartphone. This is patent for mobile phone with an internet connection, removable storage, a camera, ability to download video or audio files. A company holding the patent has filed three separate lawsuits against most of mobile developers, including Nokia, Apple, RIM, AT&T, Sprint, Motorola, HP, Helio, Sony Ericsson, HTC, Samsung, etc. So will see how they answer to this.
