Ralph Nader buries Obama hopes

Ralph Nader enters presidental raceThis finally happened this Sunday. Ralph Nader has entered presidential race and launched an independent campaign for the White House yesterday. What do Obama, Hillary, columnists and experts think about it?
LA Times reports that "Obama calls him just a "perennial presidential candidate" and Clinton agrees he's unlikely to have much influence on the campaign".
Herald Sun reviews Nader's biography. "Mr Nader, a high-profile consumer rights advocate who is 74 this week, ran as a third party candidate in 2000 and won almost 2.9 million votes."
newsday.com writes about Nader's program. "Nader, 73, said he is running because mainstream candidates are too closely tied to corporate America."

The New York Times writes about reactions from the Democratic candidates on Sunday.

Makes one really wonder whether he isn't really paid by the republicans.

I just don't see the point in his running (besides hurting the Democrats), even more so this late in the race.
